Preventing Injuries Among Young Workers

Many workplace accidents are preventable! Being struck by an object, caught in a piece of equipment, or caught in collapsing materials are the second leading cause of young worker injury.  Learn more at https://www.nsc.org/work-safety/safety-topics/struck-by-objects.

Parents, make sure your child is aware of their surroundings and knows how to prevent injuries at their summer job.

Employers, make sure to break down all the tasks assigned to young workers into manageable steps. Demonstrate how to do the tasks for the young worker to ensure they understand.
