Because women, nonbinary, and transgender workers in construction face specific challenges, CPWR has developed resources to respond. The newest are the Physicians’ Alert: Pregnant Construction Worker Safety and Health to support workers’ ability to remain on the job safely for as long as they wish during pregnancy and return safely after giving birth, and a collection of Work-Related Task Lists by Construction Occupation, which workers can share with their doctors so they understand what is involved in the job and recommend appropriate care, accommodations, or other considerations. These new offerings join existing materials such as CPWR’s webpage of resources on women in the trades, a list of commercially available extended-size PPE, and a recent Data Bulletin and Data Dashboard on women in construction.
