Safety Takes Teamwork – Letting Young Workers Know They Can Ask For Help

The ability to work as part of a team is one of the most important skills in today’s job market. Likewise, teamwork can make the workplace a safer environment for every employee.  For example, jobs that involve lifting heavy or awkward objects are better done in a team. Overexertion is the third leading cause of young worker injury.

Parents, encourage your children to ask and offer help to coworkers.  Employers, foster a friendly and collaborative work environment instead of one built on competition.
