CPWR — The Center for Construction Research and Training (CPWR) recognizes the importance of protecting the privacy of this Network’s members, as well as those who request information or advice from CPWR.

Information Collection
Due to the nature of this site and its associated Network Directory, personal identifying information you voluntarily submit when creating a member profile (including your name, organization, any linked social media pages, and contact information) will be stored and portions will be visible to the public, in accordance with the settings you select.  However, CPWR will not sell your information, and will only use and share it within the context of this Construction Safety & Health Network (i.e. to contact you regarding content or to connect you will potential collaborators).

If you have indicated in your profile that you do not want your contact information shared, CPWR will only use that information to contact you directly and will not share it publicly or with other Network members.

In order to fulfill government grant guidelines and track the usage of this website, we also collect and store non-identifying information about visitors, including:

• The name of the domain from which visitors access the Internet, such as aol.com or cdc.gov, and the IP address. An IP address is a number automatically assigned to a computer when surfing the Web.
• The date and time a visitor accesses our site and the time the visitor logs off.
• The pages that the visitor views.
• The internet address of the website last viewed by the visitor before coming to our site, which allows us to see how visitors arrived at our site.

We use this information to [1] create summary statistics so that we can determine what information is of the most interest to our visitors, [2] help us enhance the site’s quality and usefulness, and [3] report site usage to the agencies that fund our organization. We do not link your name, your email address or other identifying information to this information.

Site visitors who are not Network members (i.e. have not created a profile) may seek assistance with a safety concern or submit content for consideration on the site.  These requests demand a name and email address in order to proceed, but we do not collect or maintain a database of these email addresses.

This website contains links to many other sites. When you link to any of these sites, you leave CPWR’s Construction Safety & Health Network website and are subject to the privacy policy of those sites.

Use of Cookies
CPWR Web pages use persistent “cookies” to store information about site usage. As noted above, in no case does CPWR disclose, give, sell, or transfer any personal information about CPWR Web site visitors unless required for law enforcement or otherwise required by law.
